This by invitation only club was conceived by the visionary minds of longtime friends Johnny Dawson and Jimmy Hines, Eldorado Country Club stands as a testament to their shared vision of creating a haven for refined living and exceptional golf in the heart of the Coachella Valley.

Johnny Dawson, the mastermind behind Thunderbird Country Club, envisioned Eldorado as the quintessential country club development. With the expertise of his dear friend Jimmy Hines, the first Head Golf Professional at Thunderbird, they embarked on a journey to find the perfect location. In the sheltered embrace of a wind-protected cove, they discovered a working farm known as the Page Farm. Graced by date palms, seedless grapes, and grapefruit orchards, the two friends recognized its potential as the ideal venue to carry out their vision for what would become Eldorado Country Club. The inaugural round of golf was played at Eldorado Country Club on November 22, 1957, beginning a legacy that still flourishes today.
